Marcy Ullom, Ed.D., joined the Rotary Club of Miami in 1991, where she quickly became committed to “all things Rotary”. After serving as president of the RCM, she then became involved in a number of district positions prior to becoming District Governor in 2008-09 – the year of “Make Dreams Real”.
Marcy served as Zone 34 Rotary Coordinator (2011-14), a DGN/DG trainer at (6) Zone Institutes, RLI in many capacities and was recently selected as a Trainer for the International Assembly 2021 and 2022.
In 2016, Marcy was the Rotary Florida PETS Chair; prior to that she also served in multiple positions in Operations, Training Coordinator (2018-19) and as a Training Leader. A strong supporter of the Foundation, she is a level 2 major donor, a Paul Harris Society member, Benefactor and Bequest Society member.
So while there’s been a lot of titles and activities and events, what keeps Marcy going are the Rotarians she would never have had the opportunity to meet, work with, laugh with, and yes enjoy adult beverages with. The goodness of these people and the good collectively we’re doing in the world has made the last 31 years fly by.
Professionally she has been involved in higher education and online education. She and her husband, Hugh, own VitaGlide, LLC, an exercise machine for people in wheelchairs or who need a seated exercise and are managed by a dog named Lucy.
