Special Supply Drive: Helping Up Mission’s new Center for Women & Children

In keeping with the spirit of Rotary, we invite participants to join in a service project during the Zone Summit. In recent years, the selected project has focused on the local host city or region we are visiting.  We will do the same in Baltimore.

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Project will support one of Rotary’s stated Causes – that of Saving Mothers and Children – while we work with a deserving Baltimore Homeless Center.  The Helping Up Mission and their new Center for Women & Children located at 1216 E Baltimore Street in downtown Baltimore, is less than a mile from our Impact Summit Venue.   This Center will begin accepting mothers with children in January 2023, and we are happy to focus on supporting their needs.  Follow this link to read about Helping Up Mission and the Center for Women & Children.

All Summit attendees are encouraged to donate to this wonderful organization. Thank you for helping make this a successful service project.  Your participation will enhance the capabilities of The Helping Up Mission and impact the lives of the women and children they serve.

How to Support HUM

To make our efforts easier, especially for those traveling distances, the staff of HUM’s Center for Women & Children has provided us with an Amazon Wish List as well as a list of requested books to use in their library. If ordering from the Amazon Wish List, the items will ship directly to the shelter. If you order one (or more) of the requested books for the new library, please either bring them with you to Baltimore and we will collect them from you, or ship your books directly to the Center:
